Just a short message this time, but we want to shout it from the rooftops!
Last week, we held our first ever training session at our newly established poultry centre at Chadza.
We trained four local women in egg incubation technology, opening up opportunities for them to start their own small businesses. This may not make them wealthy, but it will put food on the table and help keep their children in school.
The enthusiasm from the participants was infectious. The session was opened by Senior Group Village Head Mlongwa, a consistent and valued supporter of our work. Her presence gave a significant boost to morale, and her words of encouragement were warmly received. In a society where respect for local authority is so important, her endorsement carries real weight.
And another shout out to all our wonderful supporters. To you, to Kyeema in Brisbane, and to the Australian NGO Cooperation Program which helps fund our activities. This support is vital to our work with rural communities in Malawi.
We have committed to contribute $1 for every $5 we receive from ANCP. Your support to help us with that $1 will help us to spread our impact.
That's it for now! I'll keep in touch.
With best regards,
Pat Boland
