Pat Boland is an Australian veterinarian. Having worked as a government veterinary officer in Malawi for several years during the early 1990s, he decided in retirement to return as a volunteer. He first worked for the Small Scale Livestock and Livelihoods Program (SSLLP) before exploring the idea of starting a new local organisation dedicated to village poultry. He is now interim Director of the RPC.
Wongani Khonje is a Field Coordinator working for the Small Scale Livestock and Livelihoods Program (SSLLP) in Ntchisi. Under a collaborative arrangement with SSLLP, he is working on a part-time basis for the RPC on the GRM Communities 1st project. Wongani is a capable and dedicated individual and RPC is fortunate to benefit from his abilities.
Luka Tumbwe is a poultry expert now retired after a long career with the Malawi government. His experience with poultry in Malawi is vast with a particular emphasis on the small scale sector. Luka is a consultant and a valuable source of advice for the Rural Poultry Centre.
