RPC Volunteers Program

In our last news update, I mentioned a little secret I had up my sleeve. I was referring to the "RPC Volunteers Program". We've now polished off some of the details and I can tell you a bit more.

We want to use local volunteers, people living here in Malawi, to undertake short term assignments which are important for village poultry. In a nutshell, this program will assist in the personal development of those volunteers while at the same time filling some gaps which will assist RPC, government and other institutions to better address the needs of rural poultry owners here. If we can get it going, I think it will be a big success. We have tried to give a clear description of some of the volunteer assignments which we think are important. We hope to enable maximum flexibility and opportunity for input by those people who wish to assist us financially. They will be able to focus their support on activities which they see as desirable.

And if you think this is a good idea and can pledge a bit of support (Australian tax deductible), please do give us some thought.

Alternatively, if you have the skills and the time, please consider registering as a prospective RPC volunteer. If we can match your skills with a volunteer program and find the necessary funding, you could be in for a challenging opportunity.

Enough of that. Together with our friends at Kyeema, we are planning other initiatives over the next few months. I'll be in touch again soon to let you know.
